Medical Devices Unit at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

The Medical Devices Unit is part of the Department of Clinical Physics and Bioengineering. DCPB has over 320 scientists, engineers and technologists throughout the Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Board providing services to 25 major hospitals, 10 specialist units and over 60 health centres. It provides regional services ranging from acute to community care covering over half of Scotland's population.

A service brand of of National Services Scotland, National Procurement & Logistics undertakes buying and supplying items for Scotland's hospitals and health centres. Its remit also includes the Health Innovation Assessment Portal  (HIAP) where innovators can submit their innovation and have it assessed.  

NHS England: Business Services Authority

NHS England provides some services to the NHS in Scotland such as the Business Services Authority, a department of UK Department of Health and Social Care managing over £35 billion of NHS spend annually and providing platforms and delivering services which support the priorities of the NHS, government and local health economies. By providing these services once, nationally and at scale and by digitising and using leading-edge technology NHS BSA can deliver greater taxpayer value and delivering savings for the NHS.
