Health Innovation South-East Scotland

Health Innovation South East Scotland (HISES) is an Innovation Test Bed set up by the Scottish Government Chief Scientists’ Office which forms part of national network created to deliver the Government’s vision to utilise the innovation process to deliver a healthier and wealthier nation for the future. Formed through a collaboration of three NHS Boards— Borders, Fife and Lothian, with the latter taking on the role of lead host Board, HISES has a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions to the health and social challenges, both regionally and nationally.

NHS West of Scotland Innovation Hub

The NHS West of Scotland Innovation Hub supports health and social care innovation across the West of Scotland and seeks to address key challenges to improve health, social care and service delivery by: co-designing , co-developing and co-delivering health and social care innovation in the West of Scotland; providing end to end support, from conception to procurement; supporting innovation that addresses key challenges to improve health, social care and service delivery.

NSS - National Services Scotland: Counter Fraud Services

Part of National Services Scotland, Counter Fraud Services works with NHSScotland to reduce the risk of fraud and corruption and reducing the cost of incorrect payment exemption claims. It is also responsible for checking patient exemptions in respect of NHSScotland patient charges and collecting payments for incorrectly claimed exemptions

NHS Scotland is made up of 14 regional NHS Boards, seven national NHS Boards and one public health body. Each NHS Board is accountable to the Scottish Government. Regional NHS Boards are responsible for the protection and the improvement of their population's health and for the delivery of frontline healthcare services. National NHS Boards support the regional NHS Boards by providing a range of important specialist and national services.

NHS Scotland is made up of 14 regional NHS Boards, seven national NHS Boards and one public health body. Each NHS Board is accountable to the Scottish Government. Regional NHS Boards are responsible for the protection and the improvement of their population's health and for the delivery of frontline healthcare services. Shetland NHS Board is responsible for health care for a population of around 23,000.
