NHS West of Scotland Innovation Hub

Supports health and social care innovation through the co-design, co-development and co-delivery of health and social care innovation in the West of Scotland, including providing access to NHS Test Bed infastructure.

HIAP Scotland - Health Innovation Assessment Portal

HIAP was designed to encourage prospective providers of new and/or innovative products and solutions to showcase them and access information and advice and initial assessment of the new product or technology.. This enables NHS Scotland to decide how the solution might support NHS Scotland's strategic aims, and what the associated costs and benefits would be.

NSS: National Services Division (NDS)

Part of National Services Scotland, National Services Division leads on behalf of NHS boards and Scottish Government on the planning, commissioning and coordinating high-quality, person-centred specialist services, networks and screening programmes. The aim is to maximise the impact of national specialist services to improve the health of the population.

SHARE - Scottish Health Research Register

The SHARE register is a partnership between NHS, government and universities in Scotland to develop a Scottish research register of people aged 11 or over and living in Scotland who have said they are interested in helping with medical research

NSD - NHS National Services Division

Part of National Services Scotland, National Services Division leads on behalf of NHS boards and Scottish Government on the planning, commissioning and coordinating high-quality, person-centred specialist services, networks and screening programmes. The aim is to maximise the impact of national specialist services to improve the health of the population.

NRS: NHS Scotland Research: Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network

The Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network is funded by the Chief Scientist Office to promote a culture of clinical research in dementia across Scotland and improve recruitment to high-quality studies from both urban and rural areas.

NRS: NHS Scotland Research: Mental Health Network

NRS Mental Health was set up in 2009. Funded by the Chief Scientists Office (CSO) the primary aims of the network are to: increase the amount of high-quality clinical research in Mental Health in Scotland; and to increase the number of people participating in Mental Health research studies in Scotland.

NRS: NHS Scotland Research: Cancer Research Network

NRS Cancer is supported by the Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Government to increase, support and sustain clinical trial activity in cancer care in partnership with the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC). The fundamental aim of NRS Cancer is to support the recruitment of cancer patients into clinical research and so contribute to improving the quality of cancer care for patients across Scotland. This has been achieved by improving the supportive research infrastructure in NHS Cancer Services in Scotland.

NRS: NHS Research Scotland: Stroke Network

The NRS Stroke Research Network aims to expand stroke research in Scotland whilst ensuring it is of high quality, timely and better tailored to the needs of the people of Scotland. The Network is funded by the Chief Scientist Office (CSO) and is steered by an Executive Group which represents four regional research committees: East Scotland, North East Scotland, South East of Scotland and West of Scotland. The Executive Group aims to include key stroke researchers in Scotland, plus representatives from the CSO, Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland and Stroke Association.

NRS - NHS Research Scotland - Research Areas

Strong infrastructure and world-class clinical and academic expertise create a vibrant research environment across a number of key therapeutic areas. NHS Research Scotland supports delivery of a range of high-quality studies across a spectrum of disease and clinical need. All research within Scotland lies within the remit of at least one Network or Specialty Group (SG). Topic Networks and Specialty Groups (SGs) are the key national bodies for supporting clinical research activity in Scotland.
